A conventional understanding of industry-driven 'development' of human societies does not account for ecological, environmental or social costs involved, the brunt of which is inequitably borne by different sections of society. South Asian Dialogues on Ecological Democracy or SADED is concerned with enabling dialogue between people on their interface with nature. SADED participted in Simmenpuu Foundation India Partner's meeting on 27th and 28th March 2012 at Ranchi, Jharkhand. SADED particpated in a meeting "Modernization of castes profession and its easy access in resource for the dignity of the Dalits in Nepal" on 3rd March 2012 in Kathmandu. As I am writing this there has been a massive Police crack down on Anti-nuclear protesters at Kudankulam in Tamil nadu. More than six thousands police and paramilitary forces have been deployed. At Idinthakarai Village near the nuclear power plant 15, 000 people are protesting. 15 people including Dr. SP Uday Kumar and Pusparayan are into indefinite fast.
